What is Inter- Segmental Traction Therapy?

Inter-Segmental Traction Therapy or Roller table is used to gently re-establish the normal range of motion of the spine and relax the bodies muscles. The patient will lay on the table face up. The table will mechanically roll up and down the entire spine. 

What does Inter-Segmental Traction Therapy do? 

Inter-Segmental Traction therapy elongates the muscles along the spine in a comfortable manner so that normal joint motion, mobility and circulation are restored. The treatment will increase blood flow and oxygen to the spinal discs, muscles and ligaments. This can reduce spinal pain, muscle spasms, and reduce spinal inflexibility.

Inter- Segmental Traction therapy is a 6 foot table that the patient lays on. A pillow and a knee bolster is placed for the patients comfort. Once the table is turned on, a large roller will begin to roll up and down the back. A remote is given to the patient so that the pressure and speed of the table can be adjusted to the patient's comfort.
